Taking notes is a proven technique that supports learning, organizes knowledge, and helps with long-term retention. In the SuperMemo app, you can add your own notes at any time during your study sessions. This functionality allows you to tailor the material to your individual needs, creating a bridge between the provided content and your way of absorbing knowledge.

Creating notes engages your brain in actively processing information, not just passively absorbing it. This way, you better understand the meaning of new words or grammar rules and more easily notice connections between concepts.

Your own notes allow you to add explanations, associations, and examples tailored to your way of thinking. You can also include your own shortcuts, explanations, pictures, or symbols that help you remember. This way, you can remember information from cards that are difficult for you, making them appear more frequently in your review se

To add a note to a specific card:

During your study session, click the note icon.

Type the note text in the displayed text field.
