What does learning Japanese with Memo the Dragon look like?
In the course メモドラゴンと学ぶ日本語2 the child first learns the new material and then develops it through two series of exercises. Each lesson starts with working via an interactive thematic board. The child’s task is to find all of the words hidden on it by clicking on its elements. Each new find is accompanied by a funny animation and a recording of the pronunciation. After getting familiar with the new material, the child moves on to the first series of exercises, consisting of listening to a recording and indicating the object identified by it. Both correct and incorrect solutions to the puzzles trigger animations and playbacks of the recordings. In the second group of exercises, the child has to match a presented picture with the appropriate caption. In the case of the kids who cannot yet read, matching takes place after clicking on the caption and playing back the recording. All exercises are checked on an ongoing basis. Based on each answer given, the SuperMemo algorithm determines the repetition of the word at the moment optimal for its memorization. By completing a designated part of the material every day, the child learns Japanese quickly and effectively.
