This year saw Flanders and the Netherlands as the Guest of Honour, and the co-organiser of the “A Book is a Film is a Game” networking day that promoted cross-genre productions, so close to the philosophy of SuperMemo’s “Olive Green” that combines a film with gaming and books.
The SuperMemo team presented “Olive Green” to potential licensors from around the world – Italy, Spain, Germany, France, among other countries. Our project was met with a lot of interest and impressed our potential partners with its versatility, scale of production and applicability both online, offline, and as a paper publication. We hope that the Frankfurt Book Fair will open new opportunities for global cooperation for SuperMemo.
“Olive Green” was also present at The Markets 2016 conference on the day preceding the fair, as an example of innovation from Poland. Listed next to such success stories as Wydawnictwo Dwie Siostry, CD Projekt’s “The Witcher” and Audioteka, our English course based on an interactive action movie shone and intrigued the audience with how well it merges the two different worlds of film and education.
During the fair, the organizers of The London Book Fair together with the Polish Book Institute officially announced that Poland will be the Guest of Honour at LBF 2017 in March next year. We are looking forward to taking part in this exhibition!
